Shaw Building Group was selected as the Construction Manager for the construction of the High Performance Computing Facility (HPCF). The completed facility is recognised as home to one of the most powerful computer system available to researchers in Australia.

Construction and fitout of the original HPC facility at the Australian National University (ANU) commenced on 7 July 2011 and was competed on 29 October 2012 at a cost of $23M. The project was managed by Shaw Building Group as Managing Contractor.

The completed facility is recognized as home to the most powerful computer system available to researchers in Australia, and is ranked number 24 in the world on the β€œTOP500” list of best supercomputers. The result was announced at the SC12 Supercomputing Conference held recently in Salt Lake City, USA.
