The Canberra Hospital - Hydraulic Infrastructure Renewal

Shaw Building Group was engaged to undertake a two stage hydraulic infrastructure upgrade project at The Canberra Hospital as part of the Upgrading and Maintaining ACT Health Assets (UMAHA) Program.

Stage 1 involved an investigation phase to, scope upgrades and defects in the hospital’s hydraulic infrastructure, to make recommendations for rectification works and to develop tender documentation for those works. Stage 2 involved the implementation of the approved Stage 1 recommendations.

The project was very demanding in that it involved wholesale intrusive investigation and renewal of degraded basic hospital infrastructure while maintaining full continuity of all hospital operations.
