Work starts on the new ACTON Emergency Services Station

Shaw Building Group is excited to have started work on the new ACTON Emergency Services Station.

The new Emergency Services Station site is located between Clunies Ross Street and Parkes Way in Acton, and is expected to service the new areas of Woden and Molonglo Valley, as well as the City.

The team from Shaw Building Group were in attendance at the smoking ceremony, hosted on Monday 14 August at the site, to mark the beginning of construction.

The project team have made great progress throughout the planning stage and we’re excited to be getting underway on-site in the coming weeks.

Benefits of the new Acton Emergency Services Station are set to include:

• More access to emergency services in the ACT

• Quicker response times to emergency incidents

• A central, modern facility to support our first responders in their service to the ACT community

The project is expected to be completed by our team in late 2024.
