Here are some of the comments we’ve received lately.
“The (Shaw Building Group) team lead by Ross Greenup provided an outstanding level of leadership, consultation and understanding towards the sensitive nature of the environment, particularly relating to patient, visitors and staff safety. A particular strength of (the team) was to maintain the open and effective communication with the clinical staff in the environment during work which may have had noise or vibration effects on the patients. The consideration and sensitivity demonstrated by the whole Shaw Building Group team was highly influential on the success of this project. The effective planning and communication minimized delays, yet they were always prepared to stop work if patients were directly affected at any time. Their positive, pro-active and "can-do" attitudes were in alignment with the Hospital's own values of Care, Excellence, Collaboration and Integrity which made for a fantastic level of cooperation and enabled a strong collegiate approach to a challenging and highly successful project.”– Karen O'Brien - Assistant Director of Nursing, Intensive Care, and Megan Wall - Assistant Director of Nursing, Emergency Department, The Canberra Hospital (Feb 2014)
“Throughout the whole process, I found Ron to be approachable and always had our best interests at heart. His leadership instilled this attitude in the entire (Shaw Building Group) project team from administrative staff to the site construction workers who were unfailingly polite and responsive to project change requests. It was a pleasure to be able to work together and be a part of this project team. There were several challenges that required innovative thinking, including late changes to the electrical services design to suit the new supercomputer. Again, nothing was too much trouble for Ron and his team who found solutions to problems with an eagerness to please and an ability to overcome challenges rather than get stopped by them.”– Harry Stephenson – Facilities & Services Division, ANU (March 2013)

“This technologically challenging extension to an already unique facility was always going to test the mettle of the construction manager. I am very pleased with the outcome despite our obsession with detail and demanding requirements.
The professionalism exhibited by Shaw Building Group and in particular Project Manager Jack Harris and his team, is a tribute to your company and its ability to work collaboratively with the ANU team and achieve a scientifically competent facility. Your project team's active and regular engagement with the ANU has meant that a great many issues were resolved long before they could become a problem. The importance of this cannot be underestimated given the unique and complex requirements applied to this construction.
At all times, Shaw Building Group's personnel performed courteously and responsively, making this project an enjoyable association. The Project Manager's regular updates and attention to schedule has ensured a timely completion of the project.
I would have no hesitation engaging with Shaw Building Group on future projects…”– Roger Franzen, Technical Program Manager, Research School of Astronomy & Astrophysics. (March 2012)
